How to open SBI account Online by Yono app?
To open SBI Account Online by Yono app you must have AADHAAR Card & PAN Card. There are two types of Account that you can open Online by Yono app. They are i) Digital Savings Account & ii) Insta Savings account.
Both these Accounts have the same facility but in case of Insta Savings Account your Account will be activated instantly whereas in case of Digital Savings Account you have to visit the branch only once for bio-metric verification. After that your account will be fully activated.
Also in case of Digital Savings Account you can transact unlimited balance whereas in case of Insta Savings account you can transact a maximum balance upto Rs.1,00,000/-.However, you can visit the branch within a year & convert your Insta Savings account into Digital Savings account & transact unlimited balance & access all facilities.
To open SBI account Online by Yono app follow the following steps:
Step 1. Download Yono SBI from Play Store or iOS store & Install in your phone
Step 2. Tap on “New to SBI”
Step 3. Select the Account that you want to open.In this case Select Insta Savings Account & Tap on “APPLY NOW”
Step 3. Click on “APPLY NEW”
Step 4. Accept the Terms & Conditions & Tap “Next”
Step 5. Type your Mobile Number & Tap on “Submit”
Step 6. An One Time password (OTP) will be sent to your Mobile Number.Type that OTP & Tap on “Submit”
Step 7. Create your Application password & answer a Security Question & remember it.(This Security Question will help you to recover your Application password if you forget your Application password in Future)
Step 8. A pop up message will display.Tap “OK”
Step 9. Accept the Account Opening Declaration
Step 10. Accept the terms & tap on “Next”
Step 11. Tap on “Enter AADHAAR Number”
Step 12. Type your AADHAAR Number & Tap “Submit”. An OTP will be sent to your AADHAAR Registered Mobile Number. Type that OTP & Tap “Next”
Step 13. The details will be fetched from AADHAAR. You have to give some personal details & Click on “Next”
Step 14. The address will be fetched automatically. Select your State & Sub-district from the Dropdown & Tap “Next”

Step 15. Now,you have to type your PAN number & Tap “Next”. Your AADHAAR Photo will be displayed. Tap on “Next” Again
Step 16. Now, you have to select your Educational Details & Tap “Next”
Step 17. Select your Marital Status & Tap “Next”
Step 18. Type your Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Husband’s Name etc.
Step 19. Select your Annual Income & Tap “Next”
Step 20. Select you Additional details & Tap on “Next”
Step 20. Tap on “Enter Nominee Details”
Step 21. Type all the details of your Nominee & Tap “Next”
Step 22. Select your Home Branch where you want to open your SBI Account. Tap on “By Locality”
Step 23. Accept the Terms & Conditions
Step 24. An OTP will be sent to your Mobile Number. Type that OTP & Tap on “Next”
Step 25. Type the name that you want on your ATM cum Debit Card. The ATM Card will be sent to your Address within 15 days. Tap on “Next”
Step 26. Congratulations!! you have successfully opened SBI Account Online by Yono app. Your Account TYPE, Account Number, CIF Number & Branch Code will be displayed on your Mobile screen. Take a screenshot of your account details & Tap on “Done”
