This Scheme is designed by the Government of India for the Senior Citizens ie, people above the age of 60 years. A person can invest up to Rs.15 Lakhs in a Senior Citizens Saving Schemes (SCSS) account.
Who can invest in Senior Citizens Saving Schemes (SCSS):
- Senior citizens aged 60 years & above
- Retired defense persons with minimum age of 50 years
- The persons who have attained Voluntary Retirement or Superannuation in the age between 55-60 years
